Please be advised that on July 20, 2017, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a Proposed Plan to provide an alternate water supply to residents threatened by groundwater contamination related to the Emmel’s Septic Landfill Superfund Site. The attached Proposed Plan details EPA’s plan to amend the 2008 Record of Decision for the site to provide replacement wells screened in a deeper clean aquifer to threatened residences. A public meeting has been scheduled for 7:00pm on August 3, 2017 at the Galloway Township Middle School to answer questions concerning EPA’s Proposed Plan.
