City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023, in observance of Labor Day

Aerial Mosquito Spray Scheduled for August 16 in Galloway and Port Republic

The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control is scheduled to conduct an evening aerial spray over portions of Galloway Township and Port Republic on Wednesday, August 16, between 6 PM and 8 PM, weather permitting, as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce the population of adult mosquitoes and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illness.

Change of Schedule – Construction Official – Week of August 21st

The Construction Official will not be in the office on Monday, August 21st or Wednesday, August 23rd.

He will be in the office on Friday, August 25th between 4 pm and 6 pm and on Saturday, August 26th between 8 am and 10 am.

Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control – Aerial Adulticide Plan Rescheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2023

Unfavorable wind conditions once again prevented the July 31 scheduled aerial mosquito spray for portions of Galloway and Port Republic.

The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control will make its next attempt to spray on Wednesday, August 2 between 6 PM and 8 PM, weather permitting, as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce the population of adult mosquitoes and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illness.

Tax Bill Update

There was a delay in certifying our 2023 tax rate by the Atlantic County Board of Taxation.  Due to this delay, we anticipate the mailing of the 2023/2024 tax bills to be the week of July 31, 2023.  The grace period for the August installment has been extended to August 31,

Aerial Mosquito Spray Canceled for Wednesday, July 26th & 27th in Galloway and Port Republic

The aerial mosquito spray originally scheduled for July 24 has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening, July 26 between 6 PM and 8 PM, weather permitting, for portions of Galloway Township and Port Republic.

Wind conditions forced the cancellation of Monday evening’s spray, according to the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control.
